It has been a few weeks since I've been into the mountains after our first major trek in Ormoc City, "super kapoy man gud". Few weeks before my flight in Manila, I’ve decided to go somewhere. I remembered that a friend of mine, Mark, invited me to visit and hike to a “deadly” cliff near their place. Basically, I wasn't alone in this trip; I have Mark along the trail who served as my guide in going to their place in Brgy. Tubod and into the cliff.

What I love in this Laag was that we were able to visit Simala Church. We lighted candles and offered a prayer.
The starting point of our trail going to Brgy. Tubos was the road right next to the exit gate of the Church.
The trail
It is an easy and established trail, so nothing to worry. Upon going to Mark's place, there's not much of uphill or downhill trail so chill ra gyud kaayo. After an hour of hiking, we finally arrived at Mark's place. Then, it took us another 30- 45 minutes hike going to the cliff. It is already an established trail but be ready with the uphill terrain.
The cliff top is perfect for sunset viewing and the campsite is perfect for sunrise viewing. I also enjoyed the panoramic view of the campsite, and from there, you may enjoy the overlooking view of Simala Church, Bohol Sea and Bohol Island, City lights and etc.
As mentioned recently, the cliff top is a really good place for sunset viewing. You may also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains in the municipalities nearby.

How to get there?
Simply, ride a bus heading to Sibonga or Argao, then your jump off should be in skina Simala. If you are planning to go there, you may contact me or Mark.
Can you do camping?
Definitely, I actually stayed there for one day and one night. We were unlucky the following morning because we were not able to see the beautiful sunrise due to a very cloudy morning.
Is there a registration and entrance fee?
None, since this is a place that is not yet exposed to the public.
Note: Upon venturing to this place, please be extra careful; minimize unnecessary movements most especially when you are at the cliff top. There will be no place for error, one wrong move and that would be your last.
