So right after, we discover the beauty of Laoag City, we went back to the place where we stayed and have our selves cleaned up. Vigan can be reached via buses, there are a lot of buses heading to Vigan so you have nothing to worry. It will cost you P137.00 for an air-conditioned bus.
About Vigan City
Vigan City is located before Laoag City, it is on the western coast of the large island of Luzon, facing the South China Sea. Vigan City is one of the few town left in the Philippines and it is also one of UNESCO World Heritage Site whose old structures have mostly remained intact, and it is well known for its cobblestone streets and a unique architecture of the Philippine colonial era. Vigan City is also the birthplace of the 6th President of the Philippines, Elpidio Quirino. Together with Beirut, Doha, Durban, Havana, Kuala Lumpur and La Paz, Vigan City was officially recognized as one of the New7Wonders Cities last May of the year 2015.
Vigan City is located roughly 400 kilometers from Manila. The same with Laoag City, Vigan can be reached by bus or by private car. It is not difficult to go there since there are lots of buses heading to Vigan from Manila.
Laoag City to Vigan City
Basically, we went and explore Laoag City first before going to Vigan City. The first half day was set to explore Laoag City and the remaining hours of the day were set to explore Vigan City.
As mention recently, there is nothing to worry about the transportation going to Vigan City from Laoag City because there are heaps of buses heading to Vigan. You can even ride a minis bus to Vigan and I think you can save money if you will ride such.
We went to Vigan via Partas Bus located in Partas Terminal. It cost P137.00 per head and yes it is air-conditioned. Vigan City is located roughly 80 kilometers from Vigan and it may take roughly 2 hours from Laoag City. If you don't know where the dropped off point is, just please let the conductor know that you will be going to stop at the bus terminal. Calle Crisologo is just a walking distance from the bus terminal, I would suggest checking your GPS if you're in doubt just like us. Lol!

We're able to arrive in Calle Crisologo around 7 pm, the place was indeed wonderful. The street is made of cobblestone with picturesque and traditional Spanish style trader home.
There were lots of small store along the street for souvenirs and foods. You must try their specialty, the empanada for P25.00 each. Calle Crislogo is the main tourist attraction in Vigan City and it was named after the Ilokano writer and politician, Don Mena Pecson Crisologo.
We did not stay so long in Vigan City since we have to go back to Laoag City and we have to wake up early next day for our trip to Pagudpud. Since we are tired walking back to the bus terminal, we have to ride a tricycle that brings us to the terminal back to Laoag.
